CardChecker app for iPhone and iPad

The MyID® CardChecker™ app from Intercede® lets you use your Tactivo™ equipped iPhone to read and display electronic information from a PIV, PIV-I or CIV smart card.

Simply placing a card into the Tactivo sleeve allows the CardChecker app to read the Cardholder Unique Identifier (CHUID) data that is publicly available and display it on your screen. Entering the card PIN lets you read and display protected data, allowing verification of the cardholder’s identity and confirmation that the information printed on the card’s surface has not been tampered with.

About the MyID CardChecker: The MyID CardChecker for iPhone lets you examine the CHUID content, printed information and photo. Future updates will provide additional card and content verification capabilities. This app requires a Precise Biometrics™ Tactivo sleeve and iOS version 8.4 or higher.

About PIV: Federal Information Processing Standard 201 (FIPS 201) defines the content of a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) smart card. Initially used to authenticate US federal government employees, the standard has been expanded to cover usage for PIV-Interoperable (PIV-I) and Commercial Identity Verification (CIV) purposes. PIV cards have both contact and contactless interfaces, which may be used for identification and access control to facilities and services.
